Lucas County Canine Care & Control to celebrate "419 Day"

Benefit for LCCCC on April 19

A Lucas County agency is showing their support in recognizing the people and places of the area on April 19.

To celebrate 419 Day, or 41K-9 day, Canine Care & Control will reduce adoption fees to $41.90 (plus a $25 license) and introduce ‘You will adopt better in Toledo’ T-shirt sales.

T-shirts are $25 and bumper stickers $5 while supplies last.

Both items are available at the Canine Care Center on 410 S. Erie Street.

Proceeds from sales will go directly toward the "Big Fix" - which offers low cost spay and neuter services through Humane Ohio for dogs licensed in Lucas County.

This program helped 593 licensed dogs get spayed or neutered in 2017.

More than 40 dogs are looking for homes and eager to explore the 419 with a family of their own.

If you have a resident dog and are looking to adopt another dog, please be sure to bring your resident dog to visit along with their proof of license and rabies vaccination.
