      Lucas County extends snow emergency for drivers

      Officials are urging everyone to stay off the roads. They will be pulling people over.

      9:01 p.m. UPDATE: Lucas County will be downgraded to a Level 2 snow emergency as of 11 p.m., according to Lucas County Sheriff John Tharp.

      It's going to be a bit longer before drivers will be allowed on the roads again.


      Lucas County Sheriff John Tharp said the county will stay at Level 3 snow emergency until Wednesday 12 a.m.

      Sheriff Tharp announced the extension in a Tuesday news conference at the One Government Center.


      Other counties in northwest Ohio also maintained their Level 3 status, which allows only public safety personnel on the road ways.
