Man accused of shooting deputy arrested in Toledo
TOLEDO, Oh (WNWO) —
The suspect accused of shooting a Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputy has been caught in Toledo.
18 year-old Jeshua Gilmore was arrested around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, following a tip to Crimestopper in Fulton County.
"The caller described the suspect as milling around a dumpster, maybe hiding back there when the crews responded they found him sitting at the back porch of an apartment complex, they approached and gave him commands and he complied," said Kevan Toney, Toledo Police spokesmen.
Gilmore was taken into custody without incident, and will be housed at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio for now.
He is accused of shooting a Fulton County Sheriff’s deputy on Monday night after a car chase.
Gilmore is now facing a host of charges, including attempted aggravated murder, fleeing and eluding and having weapons under disability.
