Police have charged a man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in West Toledo Friday afternoon.
Joseph Posadny, 49, faces charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and failure to stop after an accident. Police say he was behind the wheel of the pick-up truck which struck Angel Wells, 28, as she was crossing the intersection of Alexis Rd. near Bennett after 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Authorities say Posadny failed to stop for a red light, struck Wells and fled the scene. He was located and arrested a short time later. He is currently being held in the Lucas County Jail on $50,000 bond.
Wells was taken to Mercy St. Anne's Hospital where she later died. Authorities say she had been showing apartments to perspectives renters at the time of the incident.
