Man charged in Route 66 shooting surrenders

One of the men involved in the Route 66 shootout has turned himself in.

Lashon Sawyer, 38, was booked in the Lucas County Jail and then released after posting a $5,000 bond on Monday morning.

Authorities say Sawyer worked as a cook at the Route 66 bar and grill.

He has no criminal record and is charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits, a misdemeanor, and with having a firearm in a liquor permit premises.

No one was hurt during the gunfight.

Police are continuing to work to identify the others involved in the shootout.

They are still searching for Marquese Robbins, 32. He is a known member of the Lucas County Gang, or LCG.
