A Sandusky man accused of stabbing an 11-week-old baby to death is expected in court Monday.
Denzel Castile, 19, was arrested and charged with aggravated murder in the death of his cousin, Athena Castile, late Thursday.
Police responded to 507 Dewey Street just before midnight when 911 dispatchers received a call asking for help but were suddenly cut off. When the dispatcher called back, the woman who answered the phone said everything was OK.
But as police entered the home, they say Castile grabbed the baby and began stabbing her as he ran away from officers.
The baby was rushed to the hospital by air ambulance, but died early Friday morning.
