The man pulled from the Maumee River after a Monday morning search has died.

Rossford resident Robert Cordrey, 79, was pronounced dead at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center.

According to Rossford Fire Chief Josh Drouard, they were dispatched by Rossford Police after a vehicle was discovered by the north wall.

They found footprints that led to the water's edge, leading to concern that the victim may have jumped into the water.

The man was pulled from the water by Rossford Fire, but Rossford Public Works was brought in to break the ice.

Toledo Fire and Rescue, U.S. Coast Guard and Ohio Department of Natural Resources were also called to the scene.
