The Ohio Department of Transportation wants to seek public input on the upcoming Anthony Wayne Bridge project in downtown Toledo. Most people refer to this as the High Level Bridge.
ODOT will hold an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 5 at 6 p.m. It will take place at the East Toledo Family Center, located at 1020 Varland Drive.
The $28.7 million project begins on Monday, March 17. Workers will redeck the bridge and replace the existing truss end spans. They will also give the existing substructures a makeover, replace street lighting and rebuild the sidewalks, railings and fence.
The construction will cause the bridge to be closed for 19 months and drivers will have to find another connection from downtown to East Toledo.
