Perrysburg residents will have to wait a little longer to voice their opinions on a proposed Costco store.
City leaders have postponed a public hearing scheduled for December 17th. The request for final site plan approval which was also set for that week on December 19th was also postponed.
Costco wants to build a new store at the corner of Eckel Junction and State Route 25. But a gas pipeline on the proposed site is giving the retailer problems.
"In an attempt to get right with all parties involved, Costco has been trying to juggle and balance their needs," explained Perrysburg Planning and Zoning administrator Brody Walters, "The needs of the city and the planning commission and the variable which we're facing which is the pipeline."
Walters says the meetings could resume as soon as February.
