Mich. governor candidate Mark Schauer to speak middle-class issues Saturday

Rally will discuss issues about middle-class economy.

Former Michigan congressman Mark Schauer will address his concerns for the middle-class at a rally in Monroe. Schauer will run against incumbent Gov. Rick Snyder in the upcoming gubernatorial election 2014. Democractic Rep. Marcy Kaptur of Ohio will also attend the event with Schauer.

It takes place Saturday, June 15 at 12-5 p.m. at Dog Lady Island in the block of 7000 East Dunbar Road. Schauer will speak around 1 p.m.

Schauer was first elected to the Michigan Senate in 1996 and represented Michiganâ??s 7th Congressional district in 2008 that includes Lenawee County, Monroe County, Hillsdale County, Eaton County, and Branch County. Schauer lives with his family in Battle Creek, Mich.
