Things are looking quiet for most today with partly sunny skies and highs climbing into the mid and upper 50's. It will be breezy with the chance of a few isolated thundershowers this afternoon and evening.
Attention ramps up tomorrow as a strong cold front approaches. Winds will whip out of the south to 40-45 mph and with some early sunshine high temps will rapidly soar into the upper 70's and lower 80's - close to 20 degrees above normal! As we get into that warm sector, with the warm and humid airmass streaming in, the possibility of strong and severe thunderstorms will rise and will stick around into the evening and overnight hours. The chance of strong storms with damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes will be with us into the evening and the early hours of the overnight.
Things calm down, clear out and get chilly for the end of the week - by Saturday highs max out in the upper 40's.
