Missing Skelton brothers case profiled on national TV tonight

Three missing boys from Morenci, MI will be the subject of a nationally televised series tonight from the former host of â??Americaâ??s Most Wanted.â??

The Lifetime networkâ??s new series â??John Walsh Investigatesâ?? will feature the disappearance of Alexander, Andrew, and Tanner Skelton as part of Wednesdayâ??s episode â??Abduction from the Heartland.â?? John Walsh, who hosted â??Americaâ??s Most Wantedâ?? for 23 years, filmed the missing Skelton boys segment in Morenci last winter.

â??We saw it as an opportunity to further demonstrate our goal of doing all we need to do to glean the leads in order to close this case out,â?? said Morenci Police Chief Larry Weeks, who appears in the episode.

All three boys were last seen with their father John Skelton on Thanksgiving Day in 2010. Skelton is serving up to 15 years in a Michigan prison for unlawful imprisonment in the case.

Weeks says the police department still receives tips related to the case, but says nothing lately has significantly furthered the investigation. He hopes the national exposure from tonightâ??s episode will help provide clues to find the missing boys.

â??Weâ??re at the same place we were a little over a year ago,â?? said Weeks. He continued, â??There really has been no new information presented to us and thatâ??s really disappointing.â??

â??John Walsh Investigatesâ?? airs tonight at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
