Volunteers with Mobile Meals of Toledo resumed delivering meals to more than 600 clients on Wednesday.
The organization was unable to make its food deliveries on Monday and Tuesday because Lucas County was under a Level III snow emergency. Carolyn Fox is the Associate Executive Director of Mobile Meals of Toledo.
"Those that we knew were most vulnerable, we called them on Monday and Tuesday to see if they needed any emergency food and they all said they could make it until Wednesday," Ms. Fox said.
Downtown Toledo resident Darla Newhouse said today's delivery was just in time. "It has definitely been a struggle because I have no food right now," Ms. Newhouse said.
Today's deliveries included enough food to last a couple of days.
