Mom's house regroups after upwards of $10,000 stolen in food, supplies
TOLEDO, OHIO (WNWO)-- A local group that helps single moms says they're now regrouping after thieves broke in and stole upwards of $10,000.
Mom's house of Toledo said when an employee came in Monday morning they found the back door pried open and several items missing.
Thieves took a month's worth of baby and regular food, laptops, educational items for kids, even tools and supplies to fix the new roof.
CEO Christina Rodriguez says a blown fuse prevented their alarm from triggering.
"Our young ladies go through challenging times in their lives and we help them through it. We as an organization will do the same thing. we will get through it and get to the next phase."
They say Investigators did test positive for fingerprints, but they're not sure who or why anyone would steal from them.
