Monroe Co. girls raising money to buy tombstone for parents

Four young girls are trying to raise money to buy a tombstone for their parents.

A Michigan woman is helping her nieces raise money, so they can buy a tombstone for their parents.

According to the GoFundMe page, set up by Erica Ann Hayes, the children's mother passed away at 27 and the cause is still unknown.

"The girls are 9,8,5 and 3 years old. Their daddy passed away April 2011 due to a car accident," said Haynes on the GoFundMe page.

So far, as of 3 a.m. on Monday, nearly $6,000 of the $10,000 goal had been raised.

found Haley, Danielle, Kaitlin and Kendell selling water, cookies, chips and sloppy joes to raise money for the tombstone at Luna Pier's annual citywide garage sale on Saturday.
