      More than 50 to lose jobs when Perrysburg company closes

      Video Products Distributors (VPD IV Inc.) has sent the state of Ohio a notice that it will cease operations following a sale of its assets and will close sometime around the beginning of October.

      A Perrysburg company will close later this year, putting dozens of employees out of work.

      Video Products Distributors (VPD IV Inc.) has sent the state of Ohio a notice that it will cease operations following a sale of its assets and will close sometime around the beginning of October.

      The company said all of its 54 Ohio employees will be terminated by the close date.

      VPD, which is headquartered in California, distributes DVDs, Blu-rays, and games. It currently operates two facilities: at the Ampoint Industrial Complex, 668 1st Street in Perrysburg, and at 400 F Street.
