Lucas County Sheriff John Tharp plans to send deputies out early Wednesday morning to assess weather and road conditions. "We will be up all night, driving through neighborhoods to see what's going on," Sheriff Tharp said. Tharp will be on the phones through the early morning hours with elected officials throughout the county.
Toledo mayor Mike Collins says One Government Center will be open on Wednesday. "City workers will be expected to come to work because it is their responsibility," Mayor Collins said. According to Collins, the city's supply of road salt is rapidly running out. "I think we have a sufficient supply of salt for one more storm," Mr. Collins said.
