Mosque arson suspect now accused of 'carrying a firearm to commit a crime of violence'

This is just part of the damage done by the fire at the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo.

A Indiana man accused of setting a fire inside the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo, in September, will appear in a Toledo courtroom on Wednesday.

Initially, 52-year-old Randy Linn was charged only with damaging religious property and using fire to commit a felony.

On Tuesday, a federal grand jury indicted him on a count of carrying a firearm to commit violence.

Linn was arrested several days after a fire was set in the Perrysburg facility's main prayer room.

Flames, from the fire, along with smoke and water damage forced the Islamic Center to temporarily relocate.
