Mother & daughter among 3 injured in BG crash

The red Pontiac involved in the 2-vehicle accident came to a rest in front of a Bowling Green home.

3 people, including a mother and daughter, were hospitalized Friday night after a 2-car crash in Bowling Green.

Ohio State Highway Patrol shut down Dunbridge at Sugar Ridge around 5:30 p.m. while they responded to the scene.

Investigators say a male driver in a red Pontiac was traveling east on sugar ridge road when his vehicle collided with the driver side of a Suburban with a mother and daughter inside.

They were taken to Wood County Hospital for treatment, the other driver was taken by Life Flight to St. Vincent's in Toledo.

According to The Blade, the driver of the red Pontiac was 16-year-old Tyrus Antonio Alvarez who did suffer life-threatening injuries in the crash.

The paper also identifies the other two people injured as 51-year-old Renee Wendt, of Dunbridge, and her daughter 12-year Hailey.

The mother and daughter only suffered minor injuries.
