Mother suing Maumee Valley Country Day, claims son suffered "traumatic brain injury"

The lawsuit claims that a MVCDS basketball player caused "traumatic brain injury" to a ten-year-old boy (WNWO).

A lawsuit has been issued against Maumee Valley Country Day School by a concerned mother.

According to her lawyer, Dana Zeller is claiming her then 10-year-old son suffered a traumatic brain injury after he was assaulted by a basketball player.

The lawsuit accuses that in February 2016, he was struck repeatedly in the head by basketballs, while left unattended.

Zeller alleges MVCDS of leaving its 4th and 5th grade basketball team unsupervised before they were supposed to play at halftime of the varsity contest.

The lawsuit also says that she was forced to de-enroll her children from the school.

Zeller was named in a recent lawsuit filed by Maumee Valley Country Day basketball coaches for defamation.

MVCDS was unaware of the lawsuit when contacted Tuesday.
