Murder victim's family looking for answers

Toledo police want to know who murdered a father, and then torched a home to cover up the crime.

Gordon Wright was reported missing Tuesday.

Firefighters found his body after a blaze broke out around 8:30 Wednesday night at a home on Marmion in South Toledo.

Police believe someone killed him a few days ago, and then hid his body in a south toledo attic.

His family wants answers.

"Whoever would think to lock him up and set the fire, what type of person," said Alicia Wright, the victim's cousin. "Gordon was a good person and decent father."

Records show Wright was booked into the Lucas County jail 14 times on 80 charges since 2002.

Police don't know if any of his criminal record played a role in his murder. Investigators are looking for leads from the public.
