A man was sentenced to 14 years in prison for setting up a sexual father-daughter encounter with an underage girl.
Theodore Harmon, 56, of Napoleon, Ohio, was convicted in attempting to entice a minor in sexual activity by using the Internet and a cell phone.
An undercover officer posed as a father replying to Harmonâ??s request to have a "father-daughter sexual encounter", according to the affidavit filed in the case.
Harmon replied quickly and described in â??graphic details his plans for the minor.â?? The two exchanged messages to meet, where officers arrested Harmon at his Rossford home.
Officials discovered various objects in the trunk of his vehicle. Court files revealed they found â??sex toys, condoms, bondage ropes, and alcohol.â??
â??This sentence sends a strong message and speaks to the threat posed by this defendant,â?? said Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio in a news release.
