NBC 24 reporter Nick McGill helped rescue a tiny kitten Tuesday while conducting an interview at a demolition site.
McGill was speaking to a man at the site of the Magnolia Street apartment building where two Toledo firefighters lost their lives in January. The building was demolished by the city on Monday.
As the pair spoke beside the pile of rubble, the cries of a kitten were heard coming from underneath the bricks. The pair found where the cries were coming from and were soon able to free the kitten from under the bricks.
The lucky little kitten has been put in the good care of a foster family.
