A new Chick-fil-A will open at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday on Central Avenue and McCord Road.

The first 100 customers inside the store will get 52 free meals. Each includes a sandwich, medium waffle fry and fountain drink. The restaurant opened its parking lot at 6 a.m. for customers to camp out and began a 24-hour "First 100" party with games, drawings and competitions for everyone in the queue.

Bud Schroyer, who has previously been to two other local "First 100" openings, is customer #17.

"It's amazing. You're having a great time here for 24 hours, then you leave with 52 meals that you have on a card," Bud said. "Just depends on how much you love Chick-fil-A. I love Chick-fil-A and my grandkids love it so 52 meals makes you pretty happy."

Those participating in the party were all asked to bring a book to benefit the Books 4 Buddies organization in Toledo.

This is the third of nine Chick-fil-A locations set to open in Ohio in 2017.
