New program aims to help expectant mothers
TOLEDO, Ohio (WNWO) —
A new prenatal care program is coming to Toledo.
It's called "Supportive Pregnancy Care,” and it’s touted as a woman-centered health group that provides pregnancy care and support.
The new program was announced at the Community Baby Shower hosted by the March of Dimes on Thursday.
Women will learn how to take their vital signs and be given one-on-one time to discuss individual needs and concerns with a doctor.
The program is funded by a $48,000 grant from UnitedHealth Care.
If you are interested in Supportive Pregnancy Care you do have to register by contacting the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department.
