Newly renovated Scott High opens Monday

Scott High School reopens on Monday

After a short delay, Scott High School students will be moving into their newly renovated digs on Monday morning.

Classes were supposed to resume this past Monday but the school didn't pass the final fire inspection.

Now Toledo Public Schools says the fire issues have been resolved and students will be returning to the Collingwood school Monday morning.

Scott faculty and staff will finish moving back into their classrooms and offices over the weekend.

Renovations to the historic Old West End building began in April 2010.

They included new energy efficient windows, remodeled classrooms with updated technology and other changes.

The make-over cost $42 million.
