OREGON, Ohio â?? According to a spokesman for BP, the United Steelworkers Union and BP have not reached an agreement.

Scott Dean, BP spokesman, says a new collective bargaining agreement has not been reached for employees working at the BP-Husky Toledo Refinery.

Even though local issues are not resolved, the union wants to call off the strike and return its members to work.

â??We are currently considering the unionâ??s offer and are still engaged in negotiations,â?? Dean said. â??In the meantime, we will continue to safely operate the refinery with those employees currently on the job.â??

USW Local 1-346 has been striking since Feb. 7, 2015. The USW represents 30,000 U.S. oil workers nationwide.
