Northwest District Police Station to re-open Monday

<p>Crews have been working for weeks to prepare the building for April 1.</p><p> </p>

Toledo's once shuttered Northwest District Police station will re-open Monday in a special ceremony.

Toledo Mayor D. Michael Collins, Toledo's Chief of Police William Moton and several other city officials will be on hand for the event and the tour of the building.

Among those moving into the building will be TPD's Special Victims Unit, the Domestic Violence Office, their Canine Unit and Traffic section.

The front desk will of the station will also have an officer on duty to take reports and answer questions from community members.

Beginning Monday, March 31, the facility will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
