Nun killer Fr. Robinson expected in court Friday

Convicted nun killer Father Gerald Robinson is expected to be in a Lucas County courtroom Friday for the first time since he was sentenced to life in prison in 2006.

Robinson's lawyers are arguing that his constitutional rights were violated in the 2006 trial in which he was convicted of killing Sister Margaret Ann Pahl in 1980.

The petition claims his trial attorneys failed to call certain witnesses to the stand, failed to pursue the possibility that another catholic chaplain at the time killed Pahl and failed to challenage that a letter opener was the murder weapon.

NBC 24 will be in court for Friday's hearing and bring you a complete report beginning at 6pm.
