      ODOT project begins on Anthony Wayne Bridge

      ODOT officials said construction will close for 19 months.

      The Anthony Wayne Bridge closes Monday to begin the $28.7 million Ohio Department of Transportation project.


      Drivers who use the High Level Bridge that connects downtown to east Toledo will need to find a different route.


      ODOT is expected to re-deck the bridge, replace lighting and existing truss end spans, and rebuild sidewalks, railings and fences.


      ODOT officials said the bridge won't reopen until September 2015.
