      Officials: Fire at vacant Clarion Hotel

      The city is currently working on a plan to buy the property, so they can demolish it.
      Toledo firefighters are a battling a fire at the vacant Clarion Hotel on South Reynolds Road.


      Officials have been on scene after receiving a call of a reported fire at 11:41 a.m. Sunday on one of the hotel's floors.


      Dispatch said the fire has been contained to one floor, but officials continue to search the building as to what caused the fire.


      The 11-story building has been vacant for several years, showing visible signs of decay, boarded up and shattered windows.


      The city is currently working on a plan to buy the property, so they can demolish it.
