Ohio team bus collides with plow; 1 killed, 4 hurt

A bus carrying members of a college wrestling team has collided with a snowplow in Ohio and killed a 52-year-old man on the bus.

The State Highway Patrol says the University of Mount Union bus was in the far right lane and passing the left-lane plow late Tuesday on U.S. 30 in north-central Ohio's Crawford County.

Daniel Gorman of Hartville was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Troopers at the Bucyrus post say four people were treated for minor injuries. They include a 19-year-old team member, the head coach and an assistant coach.

The driver of the state snowplow was not hurt. The bus was returning to the school in Alliance after a meet at Ohio Northern University in Ada.

Several inches of snow had fallen; authorities are investigating.

In March 2007, a bus carrying the Bluffton University baseball team went off an Atlanta highway overpass, killing five players, the driver and the driver's wife. Over two dozen other passengers were hurt in the crash.
