The Ohio State Highway Patrolâ??s Van Wert Post is investigating a crash involving a Thomas Edison School Bus that happened Friday morning on US 30 at SR 49 north in Tully Township.
Investigators say a 2007 Blue Bird School Bus, owned by Thomas Edison Schools of the Van Wert County Board of DD, and operated by 62-year-old Alice Knueve was traveling westbound on US30 just before the crash.
Meantime, a car driven by 18-year-old Zechariah Price was going southbound on SR 49 when he failed to yield to the school bus.
Price's Buick was then hit on the driverâ??s side and came to rest in the median.
The school bus was also disabled partially and stopped in the westbound lanes of US 30.
Price was wearing his seat belt, at the time of the crash, but was taken by Samaritan Helicopter to Parkview Regional Hospital in Indiana for treatment.
Knueve was also wearing her seatbelt and not injured in the crash.
Two passengers on the bus, 50-year-old Tina M. Gaskill and 24-year-old Isaac Smith were not injured.
No charges have been filed against Price as of Friday evening.
