The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced the county of its OVI checkpoint planned for Thursday.
Officials said it will set up a checkpoint in Defiance County to deter and prevent those driving under the influence.The specific location will be announced Thursday morning.
Federal grants are funding the OVI checkpoints. Ohio State Highway Patrol are setting up checkpoints throughout Ohio roads this week. State troopers will also set up a checkpoint in Sylvania Township Friday.
Other counties including Ottawa County will have more officers enforcing traffic laws and patroling the area.
