OVI task force plans several sobriety checkpoints

<p>The Lucas County Operating Vehicles Task Force will set up three checkpoints from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in an effort to curb drinking and driving.</p>

Officials will be conducting sobriety checkpoints throughout northwest Ohio Friday evening.


The Lucas County Operating Vehicles Intoxicated Task Force will set up three checkpoints Friday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in an effort to curb drinking and driving.

The three locations are at intersections of Reynolds Road near Central Avenue, State Route 2 near Spring Meadows, and McCord Road near Bancroft.

Officials are urging drivers to think twice before drinking and driving.
