Owens C.C. narrows field of finalists for president's job

Owens Community College has announced four finalists for its vacant president's job.

They'll be interviewed Thursday and were selected from a field of 67 applicants.

The four finalists are:

Mike Bower, President of Lake Region State College in Devils Lake, North Dakota.

Dorey Diab, Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Stark State College in North Canton, Ohio.

Randall Miller, Senior Consultant to the Chancellor of Wayne County Community College District in Detroit.

And Maureen Murphy, President of San Jacinto College South in Houston.

Owens hopes to choose a president by the end of the year. That person would become the school's sixth president and would replace former interim-President Larry McDougle.
