Owens to host 'Halloween Alternative' for seventh year

Owens Community College is hosting its seventh annual "Halloween Alternative" for children ages 12 and under tonight.

Sponsored by the college's student government, it is an opportunity for families to enjoy an evening of fun and entertainment in a safe, warm, indoor setting. Attendees will be able to participate in a variety of arts and crafts, highlighted by coloring festive Halloween pictures, creating their own puppets and drawing on keepsake pumpkins. They will also be given a trick-or-treat bag to decorate and can trick-or-treat for candy from Owens students and travel through a haunted house.

It will be from 6 until 8 p.m. in the Student Health and Activities Center. All activities are free.
