TOLEDO , Ohio (AP) - The owner of two Ohio racetracks says it's debating whether to relocate the operations to other cities in the state if doing so would improve revenue at the facilities.
Penn National Gaming Inc. owns Raceway Park in Toledo and Beulah Park in Grove City in suburban Columbus.
The Wyomissing, Pa.,-based company is also developing casinos in Columbus and Toledo
The Toledo Blade reports Thursday that Penn National expects a decision will be made soon.
Company spokesman Bob Tenenbaum says it's no secret that all racetracks in Ohio are suffering economy difficulty.
Raceway Park features harness racing while Beulah Park features thoroughbred racing.
Penn National Gaming broke ground on a new casino in East Toledo last August. The Hollywood Casino Toledo is expected to open in 2012.
