A local non-profit group is holding its annual Parents of Preemies Day on Sunday, and one family says the group is responsible for their healthy son.
Lyndsey and Benjamin Miller were not able to hold their son Ward until four days after his birth. Ward was born three and a half months premature, at 1 lb. 13 oz. and 12 inches long.
Ward spent 107 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, with a myriad of health concerns, including brain and heart issues.
That is when Grahamâ??s Foundation, a non-profit group based in Waterville, helped provide care packages and other support to the family.
Ward is now a healthy and energetic 2-year-old. He came along with his parents to attend Sundayâ??s event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ward Pavilion in Toledoâ??s Wildwood Park.
