People taken in for questioning for shots fired in Tiffin apartment

McMeen is being held at Seneca County Jail.

Police have taken people in for questioning of a shooting in a Tiffin apartment Thursday morning.

Tiffin Police have taken three white men and one woman to get more information about the shooting that happened at 228 S. Sandusky St.

One of the men, Seth E. McMeen, 24, faces charges of inducing panic and discharging a weapon in city limits. McMeen is being held at Seneca County Jail.

Officials are investigating if another man called in for questioning faces charges.

Official received numerous calls shortly before 2 a.m. from the apartment complex and the building across the street. The callers told dispatch they heard two to four shots fired.

A white male bolted into the upstairs stairway area after seeing officials on scene, according to the news release.

Officers also detected the smell of gun powder at the doorway, confirming the shots were fired in that building.

Roads were blocked off, as Seneca County Sheriff's Office and Ohio State Patrol officials help set up a perimeter. Residents from surrounding houses were asked to exit their homes.

Crisis negotiators tried to contact those inside throught a loudspeaker until 4:30 a.m.

Officials await to execute a search warrant to investigate the gunshot residue found in the apartment.

No injuries were reported. Roads have been opened to traffic around 6 a.m.

Tiffin Police is investigating the crime scene.
