A Perrysburg man is being held in connection with eight counts of bank robbery dating back to January 2010.
Bernie Augustyniak, 45, is currently being held in the Lucas County Jail on unrelated charges. A federal grand jury indicted him Wednesday in connection with eight bank and credit union robberies in the Toledo-area.

Augustyniak currently sits in the Lucas County Jail awaiting sentencing on unrelated aggravated robbery and kidnapping charges. He plead guilty on Jan. 18 to the charges filed by Oregon Municipal Court late last year. He is set to be sentenced for those crimes on Feb. 1.
The robbery suspect is also scheduled to be arraigned on the bank robbery charges on Feb. 1 in US District Court.
