Perrysburg Twp. Police say that their prime
suspect in this weekend's murder of a young mother
has turned himself in.
Rodney Hartzell with the U.S. Marshals service tells WNWO that they were first contacted by Jose Moya's attorney around 3 p.m.
Shortly after, Moya surrendered to U.S. Marshals at their office in Toledo.
U.S. Marshals first transported Moya to an area hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the hand.
The injury allegedly took place during the shooting of 21-year-old Leandra Frankum.
"He drug her in the house, he put her in the bathroom and in front of the seven year old child he held her down put a gun to her head and executed her," Hartzell says of Frankum's death.
As of 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, Moya's brother Raul was still at-large.
The U.S. Marshals service has been in contact with his mother trying to arrange his surrender.
Raul Moya is wanted on an obstruction of justice charge.
