Dozens of people were arrested and thousands of dollars in drugs taken off the streets of Toledo in a police sweep over the weekend.
A series of raids were conducted Friday and Saturday by the Toledo Metro Drug Task Force and the Toledo Police Department's Vice Narcotics, Gang Unit, and SWAT Team.
24 search warrants were executed across the city of Toledo, leading to charges for 45 people. Charges handed out included 62 felony and 41 misdemeanor offenses. One felony warrant was also served in the sweep.
Authorities seized nearly $100,000 in illegal drugs, including 37.5 lbs. of marijuana, 40.5 grams of heroin (Black Tar or China White), and 22.6 grams of crack/cocaine. 256 pills of scheduled pharmaceuticals were also seized.
The raids also rounded up 7 handguns and $25,124 in US currency.
