Erie County Sheriff's Office suspect the body burned in a vehicle Sunday as a suicide. Crews responded to a burning vehicle in the Milan Wildlife Area near Loverâ??s Lane Road in Milan Township and found a body.
Erie County Sheriff Paul Sigsworth told WNWO that firefighters identified the license plate among the debris and notified Norwalk Police to contact the owner. Police ended up talking to the mother of the owner who entered the house and discovered a suicide note.
Authorities said the letter detailed the incident in Loverâ??s Lane to commit suicide.
The victim had a previous history of numerous failed suicide attempts nine months ago, including reports showing purposely stepping in front of cars and overdosing on drugs according to police.
Sigsworth said they are not ruling anything out and await the Lucas County Coronerâ??s report to confirm the cause of death.
