It may be a member of Promedica's hospital system for now, but that all could change for St. Luke's.
A judge agreed with the Federal Trade Commission's ruling that the partnership between the two is anti-competitive and could mean higher costs at the Maumee hospital and other Promedica institutions. But Promedica says that's not true, and they believe the merger is the best thing for the community,
Promedica plans to appeal and says St. Luke's will remain a part of it throughout the process.
