Family pastors led the crowd in prayer. Many of the somber faces were lit by the glow of flickering candles. Clothing and signs displayed the messages, â??Bring Elaina Homeâ?? and â??Justice for Elaina.â?? They are reminders of the six-month journey since the 18-month old went missing on June 2, culminating in Tuesdayâ??s sentencing of Elainaâ??s murderers; her mother, Angela Steinfurth, and her boyfriend, Steven King.WATCH: Prosecutors defend baby Elaina plea deals
â??Iâ??d like to hear more of the story, I donâ??t believe we got it all,â?? said T.J. Steinfurth, Elainaâ??s father. He continued, â??But itâ??s a step forward, itâ??s progress.â??
â??Elaina got justice,â?? was the chant that echoed through east Toledo, as family members led the crowd on a march following the prayer vigil. Supporters marched down Federal Street and past the garage where Elainaâ??s body was found.
