Priest convicted of murder appeals again

Rev. Gerald Robinson is appealing a judge's decision to reject his request for a new trial.

A Toledo priest is appealing a judge's decision to deny him a new trial.

Published reports say in a notice of appeal filed Monday, Rev. Gerald Robinson claims his constitutional rights were violated because police documents that could have helped his defense attorneys were misfiled and not discovered until years after his trial.

Robinson was found guilty of murdering a Catholic nun in 1980. He is serving a 15 years to life sentence.
