Promedica volunteers revitalize Swan Creek Metropark

About a dozen volunteers came out to Swan Creek Metropark Monday to apply a fresh coat of paint to the Mary Jane Gill Shelter that sits at the park's main entrance.

Volunteers from Toledo Hospital Heart and Vascular Institutes grabbed their brushes and rollers Monday to apply a fresh coat of paint to a rain shelter at Swan Creek Metropark.

Promedica employees are volunteering in the community through September 14th to kick off the Leadership Campaign benefiting the United Way. According to COO for Heart and Vascular Institutes Mike Wilkins, Promedica will continue fund-raising efforts throughout the year, with the ultimate goal of raising about $500,000 for the United Way.

About a dozen volunteers came out to Swan Creek Monday to touch up the Mary Jane Gill Shelter that sits at the park's main entrance. "This shelter was in need of paint," Wilkins said. "We'll spend about four or five hours touching it up and giving it a new paint job."
