Record snow drought nearly certain for Toledo
Tue, 11 Dec 2012 14:34:38 GMT —
No reports of early morning snow showers and flurries doing anything to snap the record streak we are set to hit later this week at Toledo Express Airport. As of today we stand at 281 days since we last saw measurable snow at the airport and the record Snow Drought will likely be set Friday if we hit the 284th consecutive day without measurable snowfall at Toledo Express. That's really saying something as snow has been measured at the airport since 1891! As of right now - this is the 2nd longest snow drought in recorded history at Toledo Express. By the by - the latest we've seen snow on record in Toledo is Christmas day.
On to the forecast... A chilly day today with partly sunny skies, yes - some breaks in the clouds and some rays of sunshine due this afternoon. Highs will be seasonable and cool, in the upper 30's.
Overnight skies will clear and we will see lows in the mid 20's. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny and slightly warmer with highs in the lower 40's. We're even milder for the end of the week with sunny skies both Thursday and Friday and mild highs in the mid 40's.
For those of you looking to make weekend plans we look dry for the first half of the day Saturday but that is about it as scattered showers develop late in the day and continue into your Sunday. High temps over the weekend look to be in the lower 40's.
Layer it up and have a great day, jj
