Red Cross gets big turnout for 9/11

People are out today trying to show their support and respect for the victims of 9/11. Some are wearing pins while some are putting up flags. But we found that some people are heading to the Red Cross to donate blood. We stopped by the Red Cross donor center on Executive Parkway and found that more than a few people in Toledo had the same idea.
The center was packed with people waiting to donate blood. The Red Cross said that on a normal day the wait would be 15 minutes but today it was running over a hour to give blood. If you are interested in giving blood this week, Notre Dame Academy and Saint Ursula Academy are having a blood drive to honor the 9/11 victims.
The drive runs all this week at the donor center on Executive Parkway. for more information on donating blood go to http://www.redcrosstoledo.org/
